For Veterans Day 2023, we had a special worship service and honored all veterans for their service to our country, as well as first responders who support local communities here at home. We especially honored the veterans and first responders associated with our church. Patriotic music was provided by our choir and specially selected scriptures emphasized the high value placed on service and sacrifice out of love for others. After our worship service, all of the veterans and first responders were presented with a special loaf of banana nut bread baked by Karen Mirman. Last year the Quilters group at our church gave a special gift of a patriotic quilt to each veteran and first responder at our church. We love and honor our veterans and first responders!
