helping hands committee

In each of our lives, at one time or another, we are touched by either an injury or illness which

results in our temporary inability to perform some, if not all, of our normal house-hold duties.

The Helping Hands Committee is a group of congregational volunteers who offer to come to a

church member’s home to help assist with those routine chores that they are unable to take

care of due to that injury or illness.

Examples of such chores include: washing dishes, vacuuming, dusting, laundry, sweeping

walkways or driveways, light yardwork and running light errands, among others.

The committee is always looking for volunteers. There is no age restriction, and whatever time

you are willing to offer would be appreciated.

If interested in joining the Helping Hands Committee, please contact its chairman, Cooper

Colwell, at (914) 325-1403 or coop76we@optonline.net.
